- Isabel Burton - General Manager
Isabel has been with Elevate since its infancy! After completing a Masters in International Development she worked for a small not for profit organisation in Brazil. On her return to the UK she put this experience to good use and specialised in housing and community regeneration – working within both the voluntary and private sectors. She has particularly focused on issues around engaging young people in their community and increasing inclusion and opportunities for them, about which she is passionate.
- Tanya de St Croix - Detached Youth Worker
Tania is new to Elevate, but has been involved in youth work since volunteering on playschemes while still a young person herself. Since then she has worked in Bath and Manchester, specialising in detached youth work. She has also been involved in youth forums, adventure play, canoeing and girls work, and qualified as a Community and Youth Worker in 2000. Tania is enjoying working with Alice and getting to know young people in Hackney and Canning Town. She hopes to help young people have a greater involvement and voice in their communities.
- Alice Nicholas - Detached Youth Worker
Alice joined the Elevate team in September 2007 as their Community Drama Co-ordinator, having recently graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama with a first class honours degree in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education. During her degree she co-facilitated a collaborative outreach project in Prishtina, Kosova and gained extensive experience of facilitating drama based projects with a diverse range of participants. Before joining Elevate, Alice worked as a freelance drama practitioner and actor for the Hampstead Theatre Creative Learning Department. She is very excited about becoming an integral part of the charity and about working closely along side Tania de St Croix, her partner in detached youth work!
- Rebecca Potter - Project Manager
Rebecca joined Elevate in November 2006 to assist Isabel in fundraising, marketing and the general administration of the charity. After nearly a year as a teaching assistant at a pupil referral unit in London, Rebecca moved on to work as an administrator for The Big Boost programme, a grant giving fund supporting young people to set up and develop social enterprises and community projects. Elevate beckoned soon after where she is really enjoying contributing to its development and being involved in its growth.
