We want young people from deprived areas to be able to participate in our projects and in their communities.

Elevate seeks to involve these young people who may also be:

• Struggling at or already have dropped out from school
  
  
• In trouble or at risk of (re)offending
  
  
• Long-term unemployed.
  
  

Our young persons' board will ensure that Elevate's users shape our future.

Speak Out, Elevate's Youth Conference

On 10th February 2006 Elevate ran a Youth Conference for 50 young people from three London Borough's: Newham, Lewisham and Hackney.

The conference involved young people in setting the agenda and direction of the charity and how it is run – including developing ideas for projects and helping to implement them after the conference;
